Courtesy of my number one fellow duck devotee Simon, comes this image created by Carl Barks. One of a series of oil paintings that he created for fans of his duck stories after his retirement from twenty five plus years working for Western Publishing.

God, I just love Bark's oils. It looks like he painted with wet candy. Merry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteI did at one stage have that wonderful book "The Fine Art of Donald Duck" which came in either blue or burgundy binding and that was a real feast of Bark's paintings Mykal.
ReplyDeleteProbably is now off the Richter scale in terms of affordability. It was very expensive when it first appeared in 1981.
