I loved it, and was shocked that nobody but my teacher and I knew about it in class. Though we never really covered his work either. Thanks for posting this though, good times.Pablo Leonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02901794411389372793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816075755902555378.post-53005050737456141572011-02-20T11:57:31.668+00:002011-02-20T11:57:31.668+00:00This is an amazing strip, really unlike any other....This is an amazing strip, really unlike any other. What an incredible sense of atmosphere - the noirish lighting of the scenes, the pelting rain at the start, the cars, the way Wright evokes windows in the fog with that hatching technique. You can just see it as a 1950s British movie - ideally directed by Jules Dassin or Jacques Tourneur.Dave Morrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14468228790874490693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816075755902555378.post-75744280455003949192011-02-20T11:50:07.535+00:002011-02-20T11:50:07.535+00:00There's a publisher in Crystal Palace who does...There's a publisher in Crystal Palace who does this sort of thing....Simon Thorpehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01119384610093373307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816075755902555378.post-47607928109262664252011-02-19T23:13:24.622+00:002011-02-19T23:13:24.622+00:00There are a few dedicated believers Urban and Roge...There are a few dedicated believers Urban and Roger Clark who is a US collector of impeccable taste has done a fantastic service in archiving so much of David Wright's output.

His site is the only place where you can read the complete stories and he has access to fantastic source material.

Now we're in the iPad generation perhaps the printed book isn't such a pressing need as we have Roger's site.

But - dammit! It's puzzling that he doesn't get the recognition he so richly deserves especially over here in the US!Urban Jointzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04788010629414125079noreply@blogger.com
